I heard some noise while outside in the tree in front. I thought the two squirrels were playing up in the tree again. Instead, I saw this guy chasing one of the squirrels. The squirrel was running around one of the bigger trunks and this hawk trying to keep up flying around the trunk but the turns were too tight and the squirrel got away.

Lemon-Butter Club mentioned in OC Weekly

Ok, it is official! The Lemon Butter Club was mentioned in an OC Weekly article. I had to go back to see when our first meeting took place. We were only five guys then. I wonder if our membership will increase? Too funny! Anyone know who spilled the beans?

Every 3 months or so I have to go to the Pacer Clinic at the hospital in Downey to download some files.
My hard drive is internal


My defibrillator stores a bunch on information about my heart that I can't even begin to understand. The download takes about 15 minutes and the technician will sometimes control my heart through the defibrillator. I still get a kick when he "paces" my heart, through a "laptop", he will speed up my heart.


Apparently, since I've had this defibrillator for 4 years now (Has it been that long?!!!), it is getting close to the time for an upgrade. So I guess in "3 - 6 months" I will be getting an upgrade in equipment.
So if your car ever needs a jump, I'm the guy to call. I'm thinking with the upgrade I'll be able to juice up my iPod on the fly?

Jessica's visit

An friend from Canada was in Los Angeles for a few days after taking a cruise down in Mexico. I met Jessica briefly back in 2005 when she came down to visit a mutual friend and we ended up keeping in touch.
When my family and I went up to Vancouver for a vacation 2 years ago, Jessica was an awesome guide! She took a lot of time out of her schedule to show us around and to warn us away from "problem areas" this is where she made the "bang bang hand motions." One evening she took us to this great Jazz club/restaurant, Capone's.


Jessica and her friend Wylie (sp?) had 4 more days after their cruise so what did they do? Shop, shop, eat, shop, shop, eat, oh yeah Knotts' Berry Farm, and shop. We were supposed to go to Universal Studios one day but Santee Alley got in the way and we shopped instead!
Shopping aside, it was great spending time and catching up a bit.

South Coast Plaza parking structure at 5:30pm on a Wednesday and we need to get to LAX by 6:50pm and she still wanted to stop at Lee's Sandwiches in Westminster for a Vietnamese sandwich... We pulled up to terminal 3 exactly at 6:48pm!!

Cousin Angel

Cousin Angel has been working at CSP (Convenience Store/Petroleum) Magazine for a number of years. Each year he gets to do on-camera reporting for their online TV. Two years ago he had some fun at the NAC (National Association of Cooncessionaires) with this "Lighter side of NAC"



He started to do more on-camera reporting again for their on-line site. He has two on-line reports on their website, "A Taxing Burden" and "Power Mart". Here are a couple of screen captures.
