Meteors and Squirrels

Meteors
I read that there was going to be a meteor shower last night/this morning. The Perseids are pretty well known in the meteor shower world. The first time I tried to see them, about a year ago, I didn't see anything and ended up with a sore neck and a chill. Around 1:00am this morning, I went out back and not even 10 minutes had past that I saw 3 of them. I was debating whether or not to grab my camera and tripod but decided that they were too fast and too random in the sky that I would waste too much time trying to take a picture, besides what the heck am I going to do with it? I've seen pictures others have taken of the meteor shower and they were in near perfect locations. I'm in my backyard with wires, trees and houses blocking much of the view.
I stayed outside for about 20 minutes and saw two more. The Persieds are supposed to be visible from July through the end of August but last night and tonight are when they are most prevalent. You can expect to see 50 -80 meteors per hour. The peak times are in the hours around 2:00am.

Squirrels
I've got squirrels! I've gotten into the habit of walking up and down the street in the mornings just to get the blood flowing. Not a serious exercise thing just enjoying the cool temperatures and the quiet before starting the day. Last week, while walking I heard a bit of rustling in the trees above me. I saw a couple of squirrels chasing each other around the trunk of one the bigger pine trees on the street. I haven't seen a squirrel on my street for years and here are two of them playin around.
Since then, I've seen them every morning. I am sure one of them lives in the tree in front of my house. I've been leaving nuts and trail mix in one part of the tree higher up where the branches spread out from the main trunk. I like the idea of squirrels living out front.
