Disneyland in December: take two
Well, Amanda and I braved the possibility of rain and went to Disneyland again! The sun kept playing Hide and Seek all day, mostly hiding. Amanda and I wanted to do the things we didn't get to do last Thursday.
I wanted a new picture with my "A".
Amanda wanted a picture with her initials, never thought of that, too bad my initials won't work with any of the letters.
We missed the Aladdin Show last week, so that was our first stop. I've seen the show three times before and it was always pretty good but for some reason, today's show seemed "off". The Genie was not as entertaining as before. Amanda says she thinks it was rushed, I think she's right.
Then we just walked around and took some pictures.
This show was closed. I don't remember ever seeing it.
For some reason, I wanted a picture with this sign.
It was overcast the whole day. The sun would come out for a few minutes at a time. The crowds were very light.
First time we watched the parade from in front of It's A Small World. They introduced the latest Disney Diva (Princess), Giselle from Enchanted. For some reason she kept sticking her tongue out (hahaha).
and again...
I never noticed the guys who trail the horses.
Then the rest of the parade came through.
We had always watched the parade from the left side, that explains why I've never seen Geppetto. He was always on the right side.
Then SANTA!!!
Gotta give these guys a lot of credit. One of them even puts on a show when he sweeps up after the parade.
Synchronized vacuums!
Over where the old animatronic show "Hall of the Presidents", Disney now has the 50 Years of Disney. There are a lot of old photos, models, miniatures and a short film hosted by Steve Martin in there and it is very interesting.
We were looking for someplace where we could watch the fireworks and have some covering from the light drizzle that was now taking place. We ended up at the bottom left part of the hub, where the pin trading usually takes place. There were tables with umbrellas and we thought we had a pretty good angle for watching the show. The drizzling continued for a bit.
When the fireworks started we realized that we did not have that good an angle after all. The left side is not a good place.
We went to It's A Small World afterwards to check out how they decorated it for Christmas.
Then in front of the castle.
Then the tree on the way out.
Amanda said that even with the rain, Disneyland is always a lot of fun, when she's right, she's right!
