The 'Iolani Palace
Today our cousin, Sergio took the day off to take us around. He suggested the 'Iolani Palace. I've never been and I don't know if Celia has ever been there either.
When we got there, we were told that photos were not allowed inside the palace. I can understand prohibiting flash photography but No photography at all? That blows! I saw some of the postcards and other photos offered and they were not very good... Enough rant. We all took an audio tour and I actually listened to all of the recordings. It was ver interesting and I definitely recommend at least visiting the palace to see it.
They had everyone wear these covers that go over your shoes so that you do not damaged the floors...
There was this veranda in front of the palace.
Afterwards we went to The Pineapple Room at Ala Moana. Celia had it on her list of thingsto check out while in Hawaii. It was another hit! Celia and I both ordered the Kalua Pig "BLT" and it was delicious! Sergio, despite the waiter's warning ordered the Kimchee Rueben Sandwich, which he liked. There is a lot of construction going on as another wing is being added to Ala Moana Mall with Nordstrom's as the anchor store, so the view was not the greatest. The food and the over all atmosphere was very nice.
